Burnsville Offroad will be at SEMA 2009 with another one of our
hemi JK buildups. Our friends at Teraflex asked us to build a JK for their booth
at SEMA this year and we were more than happy to oblige. Teraflex has always been
building their liftkits with a low center of gravity in mind. Burnsville Offroad
believes in this philosophy as can be seen in our Forty Something JK and Chryslers
Lower 40 JK build. Forty Something is running 42 inch tires with 3 inches of lift
and Lower 40 has 40 inch tires with no lift. The Tera SEMA build will have 40 inch
tires and 2 inch coils. Clearance for these large tires is achieved by clearancing
out the fenderwells and moving up the front and rear fender flares. The front flares
will be half on the hood and half left on the fender just like Lower 40. We are
using factory JK flares to do this. We plan on offering this hood after SEMA just
as soon as the molds can be made ready for production. The ram air will be functional
and will direct air to the factory air cleaner. It will not direct air to the air
cleaner on this JK as the supercharger moves the air filter to the other side.
So here is the full list of upgrades:
- 426 hemi
- SMS Supercharger (intercooled)
- 6 speed manual transmission
- Tera longarm suspension
- Tera front and rear bumpers
- Tera sway bars
- Custom roll cage
- Mastercraft seats
- Ramsey winch
- Teraflex CRD 60 axles front and rear
- 5.38 gears
- Detroit lockers
I will keep posting photos as the buildup progresses. We are debuting at SEMA our
new Supercharger install which will be available for all hemi JK’s.
